The plan is designed to provide a basic level of coverage to all eligible Team Members. If you are eligible for the plan and don’t refuse coverage, the minimum coverage you will get includes these benefits:
- Core Health Coverage
- Core Life Insurance
- Core Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
- Core Long-Term Disability Coverage (but only if you work at least 28 hours per week on average)
You may opt out of Health Coverage if you have coverage under another health care plan, such as your spouse’s plan.
If you are eligible for TimCare and live in Québec, provincial law requires that you choose health coverage for yourself and all your eligible dependents, unless you and your dependents have coverage through another non-provincial plan (another plan other than RAMQ).
